Hi guys, I did one of these about six months ago on this community and managed to make some really nice friends in doing so, so I thought that I'd try my luck again. I have been on Live Journal for about a year now and will soon be upgrading to a paid account, which I think will mean getting the most out of the LJ experience. I like making new friends here, but I do like to really get to know the people on my f-list, so I'm only really interested in other people who do the same thing with their journal. I don't expect comments all the time, but it would be nice if you are able to comment from time to time. It's also good if we have at least a few things in common (But I'm more flexible on this point). So here's me:
- Nicky, 26, and from Perth, Western Australia
- Single/straight. Still looking for the right someone, I guess.
- Piano teacher by trade. I work at a private school during the day teaching lessons there, and then I teach privately from home during after school hours. I love my job and am very passionate about it. It's different from a lot of other people's jobs and I feel I am doing something important and worthwhile.
- I'm also a long-distance runner (Although, when I say 'runner,' I mean it in the lightest sense, as at the moment I'm trying desperately to gain some of my stamina lost throughout the year).
- I'm a *big* reader and am currently participating in the

100project challenge to read 100 books that you've always been meaning to read, over the next five years.
- I like creative writing, too. But I seriously lack the motivation to do so. At least I've got my LJ to help me along here.
- Some of the TV shows that I like include: Glee, Medium, Buffy, 3rd Rock From The Sun, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and a couple of Aussie ones that some of you guys may not have heard of...
- I like watching movies. Anything really. But I like dramas and thrillers the best.
- I'm an anti-drugs, anti-smoking person who doesn't drink all that often (Except socially)
- I'm quiet, reserved, keep to myself a lot. But having said this, I love my friends and family and I love hanging out and having fun, just like everybody else does.
- I'm an Atheist, so I don't believe in God. But I have no problems with other people on my f-list being religious, as long as they aren't preachy or telling me that my beliefs are wrong.
- I don't like drama or fighting.

I used to be great at writing intros but then learned that if people want to friend her or unfriend her they'll do it regardless of what an intro says. Add me, and if you like me: keep me. If you don't: unfriend me. No hard feelings, it's really that simple. Life is too short to surround ourselves with people we don't wish to be bothered with & I'd rather you put that energy into people you like. I like comments but I don't hang on every LJer's word. I expect other people have lives like I do. This is my journal, with an intention of writing in it - and if I make friends along the way then, awesome. <3
